- Alongside sends no reminders and doesn’t sync with other calendars.
- A copied handoff lists the tasks, helpers and dates, not every note. The latest notes stay in the app.
- It isn’t a medical record.

Everyone who joins your care board opens Alongside with their own CASL member number. Membership is free for seniors, adult children, caregivers and families.
Invite them from inside the app with a private link. It lasts seven days.

What CASL Trusted means.
Alongside is a partner app in CASL, the Chamber for the Advancement of Senior Living: a free network of trusted businesses for seniors and families in Toronto and the GTA. CASL runs it for members on CASL’s own server. Your board is kept there and shown only to the people on your board. CASL doesn’t sell what you add, and doesn’t share it with partner businesses.
CASL Trusted is CASL’s own mark.

Is Alongside free?
Yes, for CASL members. CASL membership is free for seniors and families in Toronto and the GTA; enter your member number and Alongside opens. For everyone else the price will be $149 a year, and it isn’t on sale yet.
Who can see the board?
Only the people in your board. It’s kept on CASL’s own server and shown only to your board. CASL doesn’t sell it, and doesn’t share it with partner businesses.
Does everyone in the family need to be a CASL member?
Yes. Each person opens the app with their own CASL member number. Membership is free for seniors, adult children, caregivers and families. Then they join your family space with its private invite link, which lasts seven days.
Does it send reminders?
No. Alongside keeps the plan in one place, but it doesn’t send texts, emails or alerts.
Can I use it on my phone and my computer?
Yes. Open the app on one device, tap “Use on another device” in the CASL strip at the top, and open that link on the other device within 24 hours. It opens as you, with the same care boards.
Does Alongside work on my phone?
Yes. It runs in the web browser on any phone, tablet or computer. There’s nothing to install.
