About The Ear & Audiology Clinic

Hear the world, make it a better place.

The Ear & Audiology Clinic is a locally owned and operated hearing healthcare clinic covering comprehensive hearing assessments, ear wax removal, hearing aid consultations, fittings and repairs, custom ear plugs and moulds, assistive listening devices, tinnitus management, and ongoing hearing support. They also offer home visits and remote appointments.

What separates them from a retail hearing aid chain is where the emphasis sits. The clinic starts with the person — their hearing needs, their lifestyle, the specific situations where they struggle to follow a conversation — rather than with a device to sell. Assessments are comprehensive, recommendations are evidence-based, and fittings are verified professionally rather than set by ear.

The clinical team came out of hospital audiology, including Baycrest, Mount Sinai Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital, and works alongside ENT specialists. They also bring international clinical experience. Alongside clinic appointments they travel to retirement communities to provide hearing assessments, ear wax management and hearing aid servicing on site, which removes the transport problem that stops a lot of older people getting their hearing looked at.

There are three locations: the main clinic at 3630 Lawrence Avenue East in Scarborough, a second clinic at 174 Athol Street East in Oshawa, and a satellite office at 520 Ellesmere Road in Scarborough.

Why they are in the network

Untreated hearing loss is one of the quietest ways an older person becomes isolated, and it is badly served by high-pressure device sales. This clinic asked careful, specific questions before joining CASL and wanted the answers in writing — the same thoroughness you would want from whoever is testing your hearing. The hospital audiology background and the visits to retirement residences settled it.
