About Geek Square

The least disruptive fix first.

Geek Square is an independent computer repair service for Toronto and the GTA, and it starts with the least disruptive fix. Many problems, slow computers, pop ups and viruses, email or printer trouble, software that will not behave, can be solved remotely through TeamViewer, a secure, licensed remote support tool: you start the session, you watch everything on your screen, and access ends when the session does. If the problem needs hands on the machine, a certified technician comes to your home or office, nothing to unplug or carry to a shop, and same day visits are usually available.

On site the team handles hardware repair, data recovery, new computer setup and data transfer, Wi-Fi and home networking, and one on one lessons. Either way you get plain language explanations, honest pricing, no upselling, and the patience to walk you through what was done. Geek Square is a small local team, not affiliated with Geek Squad or Best Buy, so you deal with the same people every time.

Older adults make up most of the home visits, and many bookings come from adult children arranging help for a parent. Typical requests include getting set up for video calls with family, cleaning up pop ups and securing email and online banking against scams, recovering photos, replacing an aging computer and transferring everything across, and lessons at the customer's own pace. When a family member is coordinating from a distance, Geek Square handles booking and updates with them directly and leaves a plain English summary of what was done. The team also helps with downsizing moves: setting up Wi-Fi, TV and devices in a new home or retirement residence, and transferring or securely wiping old machines.
