Life’s Poochy is Leora Tate’s dog walking and pet care service, run personally for eighteen years: group and private walks, boarding, training, and puppy visits, mainly across Thornhill and Richmond Hill with North York and Maple by arrangement.
The senior connection is real rather than marketing. Leora has looked after many seniors’ dogs over the years, and she volunteered doing dog therapy at a long-term care home. For an older owner, a dog is company, routine and a reason to move — and the daily walking is usually the part that gets hard first. A trusted walker is often the difference between keeping the dog and giving it up.
Her own description of the work is that it is client-focused for the two-legged and the four-legged alike: she stays in contact about anything that comes up with an animal in her care, and safety comes first. She is bonded and insured, and Pet First Aid certified.
