Comfort food, family-owned, on Kingston Road

Lighthouse 971 is a family-owned restaurant on Kingston Road in the Upper Beaches, serving comfort food made with good ingredients and a few signature dishes of its own.

On weekends there is brunch, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 to 3, with bottomless drip coffee, eggs Benedict, omelettes and French toast. Social hour runs from 2:30 to 5:30 every day, with appetizers on special, which suits an early dinner. There is a kids menu, and they cater.

The team works to make the room warm and welcoming, the kind of place a family can take a parent or grandparent for a relaxed meal. Meals are packed to travel well if you would rather eat at home.
