Ramps, stairlifts and platform lifts, with a free on-site assessment

Mobility Specialists is a family owned business at 121 Bradwick Drive in Vaughan that has, since 2012, helped people with limited mobility move around their homes safely and comfortably. They sell, install and service wheelchair ramps, stairlifts and vertical platform lifts across the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton, and every job starts with a free on-site assessment to find the right solution.

Their aluminum wheelchair ramps are built to code for permanent or temporary access, and can also be rented, with delivery, set up, disassembly and pickup, for as little as a day: after surgery, during physical therapy, for an event or for temporary access to a home. Stairlifts come in straight and custom curved versions, with the track fitted to the stairs rather than the wall, and run on batteries so they keep working in a power failure; they are an authorized Handicare and Savaria dealer. Vertical platform lifts give wheelchair access to a porch or between floors, inside or out.

In their own words, accessibility should be affordable for every family: their team knows the government programs and provincial grants that help with the cost, such as March of Dimes Canada, Easter Seals Ontario, the Veterans Independence Program and the Multigenerational Home Renovation Tax Credit, which they say can cover up to 75% or even 100% of the cost of a ramp, stairlift or platform lift, and they help with the application. Equipment comes with a comprehensive warranty, and they offer a buyback when it is no longer needed.
