A family run kitchen that knows how to look after older guests

Smash Kitchen & Bar is a family-run neighbourhood restaurant that has been serving Markham for over ten years. The cooking is southern-inspired comfort food done properly: macaroni cheese, buttermilk fried chicken, burgers and desserts made in-house. It is the sort of place where a family can take a grandparent and everybody finds something they want.

They have thought about older guests specifically. The washrooms are fully accessible, menus are printed rather than hidden behind a code on the table, and the staff are used to serving people promptly when somebody cannot sit for a long time or is travelling with a caregiver.

There are private dining rooms for groups from about ten up to a hundred, which suits a milestone birthday or an anniversary, and they also do takeout, delivery and catering if getting out is not practical that week.
