About Tosho Knife Arts

Japanese kitchen knives, sharpening and repairs

Tosho Knife Arts is a Toronto shop for handmade Japanese kitchen knives. They help you pick the right knife for the way you cook, and teach you how to look after it and how to keep it sharp.

They sharpen and repair kitchen knives too, including chips, broken tips, bends and rust. No appointment is needed, and sharpening usually takes about a week.

Check their list before you bring in anything that isn't a kitchen knife: they don't take scissors, serrated blades, folding knives or woodworking tools, among others.

Where they work
  • Toronto
  • across the GTA

The shop is at 913 Bathurst Street in Toronto, open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm and closed on Mondays. No appointment is needed for sharpening, and knives can be mailed in by arrangement: email them first.
