The quarterly giveaway, in plain words.

The rules

1. Who runs it. The CASL quarterly giveaway is run by CASL, the Chamber for the Advancement of Senior Living, in Toronto, Ontario. Questions go to info@thecasl.ca.
2. Who can enter. Residents of Ontario who are 18 or older. CASL’s own team, the staff of any business that donates that draw’s prize, and the people who live with them can’t win. The accounts CASL gives partner businesses aren’t entered.
3. No purchase necessary. You never have to buy anything or pay anything to enter or to win. Membership is free through any CASL business, and anyone can enter free with the form on this page without being a member. Paying for membership never adds entries: members who joined free get exactly the same entries.
4. How you’re entered. Every active CASL member is entered in every draw automatically, once. From the draw of April 1, 2027, members also get one more entry for every 10 CASL points earned in that draw’s three months, up to 10 more. The free entry form gives one entry per person per draw. Duplicate free entries, and free entries from someone who is a member already, are removed.
5. The draws. There is a draw every three months, on the first day of January, April, July and October, for the three months before it. Points earned from October 18, 2026 to March 31, 2027 count toward the draw of April 1, 2027.
6. The prizes. Each draw’s prize, how many there are and their approximate value are listed above before its three months begin. Prizes can’t be exchanged for cash or moved to someone else. If a prize becomes unavailable, CASL may give one of the same or greater value.
7. Chances of winning. Your chances depend on how many eligible entries there are in that draw.
8. How the winner is chosen. Within 7 days after the draw date, CASL chooses a winner by a random computer draw from the full list of eligible entries. CASL keeps a fingerprint of that list so the draw can be checked.
9. Skill-testing question. Before being declared a winner, the person drawn must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, without help, within a set time.
10. Telling the winner. CASL contacts the person drawn by email or phone. If they don’t answer within 5 business days, or don’t meet these rules, CASL may draw another entry.
11. Announcing the winner. With the winner’s permission only, CASL may share their first name and neighbourhood. Saying no never affects the prize.
12. Your information. Entry details are used only to run the giveaway and to reach the winner, as our privacy policy describes. They’re never sold or shared with partner businesses.
13. Everything else. The giveaway follows all federal, provincial and local laws. CASL may change or cancel it only where the law requires or allows, and will post any change on this page. CASL’s decisions about the draw are final. The giveaway isn’t run by, sponsored by or connected with any social media platform.
