Membership is free through any CASL business, or for family of a member. Points, the giveaway, the member offers and the games all come with it.

Points become giveaway entries

Every CASL member is in every quarterly giveaway, once, without doing a thing. Points add more chances: every 10 points you earn in a draw’s three months is one more entry in that draw, up to 10 more. So a busy quarter can mean 11 entries instead of 1.

Points start counting toward the draw of April 1, 2027. The draw of January 1, 2027 works as it always has: one entry for every member. After each draw, the count for the next one starts again, and every point you’ve earned stays on your account. More rewards are coming soon.

Paying for membership never adds entries or points. Members who join free through a CASL business earn in exactly the same way. The full rules, and a free way to enter without being a member, are on the giveaway rules page.

Questions

How do I earn CASL points?

Play Scam or Safe? (3 points, once a day), finish a Word Trail puzzle or a Postcard Puzzle (2 points each, up to 3 a day), finish one of the free checks (2 points, each check once a draw), have a CASL business record that it served you (5 points, up to 5 times a draw), have a family member link to your membership (10 points each) or tell your story to Toronto Legends (20 points, once).

How do points become giveaway entries?

Every member has one entry in each quarterly draw. Every 10 points earned in that draw’s three months adds one more entry, up to 10 more. Points start counting toward the draw of April 1, 2027.

Do I have to switch anything on?

Only for the games and the free checks. They count once you switch points on here, with your member number and last name, because that’s when they tell CASL that you finished one. A business serving you, family joining and your story count by themselves.

What do the games send to CASL?

Your member number, what you finished (for example, a Word Trail puzzle) and the day. Never your answers, your score or anything you type. Switch it off here any time and nothing more is sent.

Does paying for membership give more points?

No. Every member earns in exactly the same way, whether they joined free through a CASL business or paid. Paying never adds points or entries.

Can I swap points for money?

No. Points have no cash value and can’t be sold or moved to someone else. They give extra giveaway entries, and more rewards are coming soon.
