For partner businesses

The families who aren't ready yet stay yours.

Passing CASL on to your own clients is optional. There's no quota and no deadline. It's also one of the main reasons senior-focused businesses join. Everyone you bring in is credited to you, and we stay in touch with them. When they need what you do, next year or ten years from now, we ask them, and with their yes the introduction comes back to you.

The cold lead

They asked about your service, but they're not ready yet.

You've had this conversation. Move through the years to compare what happens next, with and without CASL.

Without CASL · Today

They take your card and say they'll think about it.

Read both paths as text

Without CASL

  1. Today. They take your card and say they'll think about it.
  2. Six months on. Your card is somewhere in a drawer. You haven't been in touch, and neither have they.
  3. One year on. They're getting closer to needing you, and nothing connects them back to you.
  4. Two years on. The need arrives. They search online and call whoever comes up first.
  5. Five years on. Each thing they needed along the way went to whoever they found that week.
  6. Ten years on. The relationship you started ended with the card.

With CASL

  1. Today. You invite them to CASL. They join free, and they're credited to you.
  2. Six months on. They hear from CASL: member offers, the quarterly giveaway, free events and guides.
  3. One year on. Still credited to you. They're never sent a competing offer in your category.
  4. Two years on. They start on a step that often comes before yours, and we see it.
  5. Five years on. They tell us they need what you do. We ask, they say yes, and we introduce them to you.
  6. Ten years on. Still yours. The credit doesn't run out.
How it works

One introduction, start to finish.

Five steps. You do the first one, and CASL does the rest.

Next month or ten years from now. There's no time limit on it.

  1. You pass it on

Send the invitation email from your dashboard to clients you already look after, in your own name. There's a text message version and a counter card with your own QR code too. Invite people you're allowed to contact, as many or as few as suits you.

    You
  2. They join, free

Membership is free for seniors and their families. Anyone who joins through your link or your card is credited to you automatically, and shows up on your dashboard.

    Your client
  3. We stay in touch

Members hear from CASL about member offers from vetted businesses, a quarterly giveaway, free events and plain language guides. That keeps them connected between the day they meet you and the day they need you.

    CASL
  4. We see what's coming

Members come to CASL for one thing after another, so we see the sequence. Someone arranging home care is often a year from a move. Someone who has just sold a house needs a mover, a cleaner and a cleanout.

    CASL
  5. It comes back to you

When someone you brought in needs what you do, or starts on a step that leads to you, we ask them first. With their yes, we introduce them to you. A warm introduction, never a list, and never a competitor in your category.

Your line of work

Services come in a sequence. Here's where you sit.

Pick what you do. On one side is what often comes before you, which is when we can bring you back in. On the other is what often comes after, which is what the families you invite can find through CASL next.

Often comes before you

  • Grab bars, a stair lift or other changes at home
  • Mobility equipment
YouHome care

Often comes after you

  • A move to a retirement residence or a smaller home
  • A realtor, a mover and a cleanout

Families often ask about care and then decide to manage on their own for a while. If they join through you, they stay credited to you. When they're ready, or when we see care getting closer, we ask them, and with their yes we bring you back in.

Often comes before you

  • Home care starting
  • A stair lift going in
YouReal estate

Often comes after you

  • A mover and help downsizing
  • Cleaners and a cleanout
  • Retirement living

Homeowners often talk about downsizing years before they list. Invite them, and when we see the signs of a move coming, like home care starting, we can bring you back in early, with their yes.

Often comes before you

  • Home care starting
  • Mobility equipment
YouAccessibility and renovation

Often comes after you

  • A smaller home, often within a couple of years
  • A realtor, a mover and a cleanout

People often get a quote for a stair lift or a bathroom and then wait. Invite them, and when they're ready, or when care starts at home, we can bring you back in, with their yes.

Often comes before you

  • A realtor hired
  • A retirement residence chosen
YouMoving and downsizing

Often comes after you

  • Cleaners and a cleanout

Nobody books a mover until the house is sold or the suite is chosen. Invite the families who ask early, and when a realtor or a residence comes into the picture, we can bring you back in.

Often comes before you

  • A home sale
  • Paying for care
  • A move into a residence
YouAccounting and tax

The year someone sells a home, starts paying for care or moves into a residence is a year their return changes. When someone you brought in reaches one of those steps, we can bring you back in, with their yes.

Often comes before you

  • A home being readied for sale
  • A move into a new place
YouCleaning and home services

Homes get cleaned, repaired and freshened up before they're listed and after someone moves in. When someone you brought in hires a realtor or plans a move, that's often when your work comes up.

Often comes before you

  • The step that usually comes before yours
YouWhat you do

Often comes after you

  • The step that usually comes after yours

Whatever you do, there's usually a step before it and a step after it. When someone you brought in reaches the step before yours, we can bring you back in, with their yes. When they need the step after, we look for a vetted business in the network for that too.

These are common patterns, not predictions about any one family. Every introduction starts with the member saying yes.

Bring in a business

Bring in a business, and you're both protected.

Your dashboard has a second link, just for businesses. When a business applies through it, CASL records that you brought it in, and it shows on your dashboard under Businesses you bring in.

From then on, the members that business brings in are protected in its category and in yours, and yours are protected in theirs. None of them is sent a competing offer in either category.

The best ones to bring in are the businesses your clients tend to need just before you or just after you.

Now both groups are protected in both categories.

  • Protected in your category
  • Protected in theirs
Who it's good for

Good for your clients, good for you, good for the whole network.

  • The families you invite

A free membership with member offers from vetted local businesses, a quarterly giveaway, free events and guides. When they need the next thing, a business the network has checked, introduced only if they say yes.

  • You

A way back to the people who weren't ready. Credit that doesn't run out, no competing offers in your category, and a warm introduction when they need you, never a cold list.

  • The businesses you bring in

Their own page on the site and their own dashboard, free. The members they bring in are protected in their category and in yours.

  • The whole network

Partners bring in members, and members bring in the next business. More members means more introductions for every partner. Nobody pays anybody along the way.

How far it goes

The more you bring in, the more we do for you.

  1. Your first invitation

Send the email from your dashboard to one client you know well.

  2. Your first member

They join free, and they show up on your dashboard, credited to you.

  3. Around 25 invitations

What we suggest, at your own pace. It isn't a requirement.

  4. 50 members through you

CASL works to set up a partnership between you and a local retirement home, so the families there start with you.

What we promise you

Plain promises, the same for every partner.

  • The member says yes first

We only introduce a member to a business after they've told us what they need and said yes.

  • No competing offers

A member who comes in through you is never sent a competing offer in your category from anyone else in the network.

  • An introduction, never data

A member's name and email appear on your dashboard only when that member agreed to hear from you. Everyone else is counted and kept private.

  • We never sell members' information

Not to anyone, for any price.

  • We never charge

Not you, not the member, not a percentage. If that ever changes, you'll hear it from CASL, in writing, before anything else.

  • It's optional

Around 25 is what we suggest. It isn't a condition of joining, and there's no deadline.

Your dashboard

Everything you need is already written.

Your dashboard link arrives in your welcome email. There's no password. The link is the key.

  • The invitation email

Ready to copy, or open straight in your email app, in your own name.

  • A text message version

The same invitation, short enough for a text.

  • A counter card with your QR code

Letter size. Anyone who scans it joins credited to you.

  • Two links of your own

One for families and one for businesses. Both credit you.

  • The guide, the members' sheet and badges

A one page guide, a sheet to hand to clients, and two badges for your website or window.

  • Record a member

When a member uses your service, type their member number. That's how CASL sees who you served.

Questions

Questions, answered plainly.

Do I have to invite 25 people?

No. Around 25 is what we suggest, because that's how members find the network, and members are who we introduce to you. It isn't a condition of joining, and there's no deadline.

Who should I invite?

People you already look after and are allowed to contact: current and past clients, and families who asked about your services but weren't ready. Use the email in your dashboard, in your own name.

Does it cost them anything?

No. Membership is free for seniors and their families. No card and no fee.

How long do they stay credited to me?

There's no time limit. Someone who joins through you stays credited to you, whether they need you next month or ten years from now.

Will you offer them my competitors?

No. A member who comes in through you is never sent a competing offer in your category from anyone else in the network.

What will I see on my dashboard?

Every member who joined through you, every member you recorded, and the businesses you brought in. A member's name and email appear only when that member agreed to hear from you.

What happens when I bring in a business?

It's recorded as yours. The members it brings in are protected in its category and in yours, and yours are protected in theirs.

What do my clients get?

Member offers from vetted local businesses, a quarterly giveaway, free events and workshops, and free guides. When they need the next thing, we introduce them to a partner, only if they say yes.

Whenever you're ready

Invite a few, or a lot. Everyone you bring in stays yours.

Your dashboard link arrives in your welcome email, with the invitation ready to send. Questions? Write to info@thecasl.ca.
