Getting around

Brampton residents 65 and over ride Brampton Transit free, with a Brampton Transit Senior ID card and a PRESTO card loaded with the free annual pass. Apply for the card online, or in person at the Bramalea Terminal (160 Central Park Drive), the Clark facility or the Sandalwood facility, with proof of a Brampton address and photo ID; questions: 905-874-5120. Seniors who live elsewhere pay the senior PRESTO fare, $1.85. Read the City’s page.

TransHelp, Peel’s accessible transit, is for Peel residents whose disability sometimes or always stops them from using regular transit; age isn’t a factor. Call 905-791-1015.

More: transportation for seniors, including the free accessible parking permit and renewing a licence at 80.

Programs and activities

Since June 2025, Brampton residents 65 and over get free access to City recreation: fitness centre, swimming and skating memberships, most general programs and group fitness.
