Getting around

On YRT, riders 65 and over pay $2.60 with a PRESTO card set to the senior fare type, against $4.24 for an adult (fares effective July 1, 2026). YRT’s On-Request 65+ service is a door-to-door ride for seniors within 5 km of home, anywhere in York Region: book with the YRT On-Request app, online, or at 1-888-762-2950. GO Transit is 55% off from 65.

Programs and activities

The City of Richmond Hill runs Adults 55+ programs, drop-in and registered, from sports and fitness to technology and the arts, mostly at five main sites including the McConaghy Centre.
